An indie filmmaker/actor and a theatre director, is a postgraduate in sociology from the University of Hyderabad and a graduate of National School of Drama (NSD, New Delhi). He was awarded the Charles Wallace fellowship to persue a course in musical theatre from Guildford School of Scting, UK. He has directed many award winning plays including Taj Mahal Ka Tender, which was played by the NSD Rep Company under his direction. This NSD production ran for ten years and was performed in the leading cities of India to full houses. He has directed four feature films and a short film. His first directorial Oriya feature film has bagged many state awards including the best film and was showcased in festivals. Directorate of Film Festivals, Govt. of India showcased this film in the festival commemorating 75 years of Oriya cinema. His directorial short film in Hindi “Court Room Nautanki” was part of IFFI, Goa, 2010 in the Indian Panaroma Section and was showcased in many other festivals. He is also a trained vocalist and was awarded the state award for Best Music Director and Playback Singer for the film ‘Dhauli Express’.
